Robert H King is a digital artist, photographer and graphic designer. Robert spent many years completely blind, having being been born with no sight in one eye and later losing sight in the other. Following an operation, Robert has regained vision in one eye and, while it’s not perfect, it allows him to continue creating art; this helps him to cope with the effect that his condition has on his daily life.
Music is a significant part of Robert’s life; he worked in the industry for many years and his art reflects this, particularly in his Invisible Soundtracks series of images, in which he uses the titles and lyrics of songs as inspiration. Along side his own work, Robert has also delivered creative self-portraiture workshops to primary school children using iPhones and iPads. He runs mobile photography workshops in Creative Processing, Mindful Approaches to Photography and Creative Approaches to Landscape Photography and has also delivered Photo Walks.
